Ceram-O-Matic 3000 premiered at CCACA '16 in Davis, CA. The interactive installation consisting of a modified Delta 3D printer with a custom clay extruding system was available for viewers to use and create porcelain extruded forms in response to their real-time input. Each participant added to a growing object that became the record of participation over the course of the conference. Ceram-O-Matic 3000 points to the disparity between expectation and reality of technology, and highlights the human role in processes of mechanical production.
